Seg\u00fan la CEPAL, las mujeres de Am\u00e9rica Latina perdieron un avance de diez a\u00f1os en materia laboral a causa del COVID-19. <\/figcaption><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n

La situaci\u00f3n que vivimos en la actualidad a causa del Covid 19 ha afectado a toda la poblaci\u00f3n en distintos aspectos; sin embargo, quienes m\u00e1s afectaciones en materia laboral han tenido, son las mujeres. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seg\u00fan el Informe Especial COVID-19 N\u00b09: La autonom\u00eda econ\u00f3mica de las mujeres en la recuperaci\u00f3n sostenible y con igualdad <\/a>de la CEPAL, la tasa de participaci\u00f3n laboral de las mujeres en 2020 fue del 46%, mientras que en el 2019 hab\u00eda sido de un 52%. Esto quiere decir que durante la pandemia, una gran cantidad de mujeres salieron del ambiente laboral por circunstancias principalmente relacionadas con el cuidado de sus hogares y de sus familias; lo que se vio reflejado en la ca\u00edda del  -7.7% del PIB nacional en el 2020. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

El estudio Comprendiendo el impacto de la pandemia en las mujeres trabajadoras<\/a>, realizado por Deloitte Global a 400 mujeres alrededor del mundo, revel\u00f3 que 70%  de ellas han tenido una gran preocupaci\u00f3n por su futuro laboral durante la pandemia. Dentro de este mismo grupo de mujeres, el 58% son madres y les resulta m\u00e1s complicado realizar home office<\/em> ya que deben estar pendientes de que sus hijas e hijos tomen adecuadamente sus clases, as\u00ed como realizar los deberes del hogar, entre otras cosas; sobre esta misma l\u00ednea, el 75% de las encuestadas mencion\u00f3 que han recibido m\u00e1s trabajo por el simple hecho de estar en esta modalidad de trabajo a distancia.<\/em> Por ello, es que muchas han tenido que dejar su trabajo formal o detener la b\u00fasqueda de uno, pues deben atender las necesidades dentro de sus hogares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por otro lado, en el sector de salud el 73.2% del personal son mujeres y han tenido que enfrentarse a situaciones extremas como jornadas laborales extensas, riesgo de contagio, pocos recursos para su cuidado en \u00e1reas COVID, adem\u00e1s de que reciben un salario del 23.7% menor al de los hombres en el mismo sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Seg\u00fan la CEPAL, las mujeres de Am\u00e9rica Latina perdieron un avance de diez a\u00f1os en materia laboral a causa del COVID-19 y todas estas afectaciones se reflejaron en alrededor de 118 millones de mujeres latinoamericanas en situaci\u00f3n de pobreza al finalizar el 2020; 23 millones m\u00e1s que en el 2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reforzar las pol\u00edticas de empleo,  necesario para fortalecer la autonom\u00eda econ\u00f3mica de las mujeres<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Alicia B\u00e1rcena, Secretaria Ejecutiva  de la CEPAL, enfatiza en la importancia de que las mujeres potencien sus habilidades y reviertan las barreras socioecon\u00f3micas que est\u00e1n enfrentando, en gran parte, a causa de la pandemia. Para ello, resalt\u00f3 la importancia de  reforzar las pol\u00edticas de empleo y reforzar la atenci\u00f3n inmediata a la p\u00e9rdida de ingresos, al igual que promover la transformaci\u00f3n digital incluyente que garantice que todas las mujeres puedan tener acceso a las tecnolog\u00edas; esto en conjunto, ayud\u00e1ndoles a fortalecer su autonom\u00eda econ\u00f3mica <\/p>\n\n\n\n

As\u00ed mismo, B\u00e1rcena mencion\u00f3 que se deben priorizar las estrategias de vacunaci\u00f3n al personal de salud, personal de limpieza, personal de transporte, personal del sistema educativo y personal de trabajo dom\u00e9stico, que representan el 56.9% y 54,3%  de las mujeres en Am\u00e9rica Latina y el Caribe, respectivamente. Este grupo pertenece tambi\u00e9n a los sectores con mayores efectos negativos en cuestiones de ingreso, derivado de la pandemia.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adem\u00e1s habl\u00f3 de un pacto fiscal que promueva la igualdad de g\u00e9nero y que evite la profundizaci\u00f3n de los niveles de pobreza en las mujeres a corto, mediano y largo plazo en cuesti\u00f3n laboral, productiva, econ\u00f3mica y social; dentro de muchas otras cosas, para promover la diversidad, el respeto y la inclusi\u00f3n como parte de los valores de la sociedad.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
