Inoma, a Mexican non-profit civil organization is proud that their leading project: TAK-TAK-TAK is one of the winners in the World Summit Award (WSA) Mobile 2016 contest in the category of best mobile content in learning and education.
WSA is an award system in the frames of Sustainable Development Goals and is endorsed by the UN, with the goal of give recognition to local digital content with an impact on society and show the diversity of innovative apps. 40 international projects are chosen as winners, 5 for each category.
The learning and education category, in which TAK-TAK-TAK is a winner, has the premise of TIC generating educational solutions to promote easy access to quality education. The previous supports knowledge transference and increase of abilities through educational, interactive and personalized resources distributed online. With this award TAK-TAK-TAK is recognized as best educational content in the world, with Mexico being the only Latin American representative in this category.
TAK-TAK-TAK is a learning and teaching system based on free, educational video games that can be found in their website http://taktaktak.com/ as well as mobile platforms (download here: https://goo.gl/eDe66W). Today there are 85 video games developed and 26 available for Android tablet (soon available in iOS). The teachers and tutors’ website, LabTak (http://labtak.mx) explains the educational content of video games and how to include them in class planning, with the goal of serving as a teaching support for children. Also, this website offers reports of the development of the video games in real time, this way teachers or parents can know their children’s strengths and opportunity areas and have a guide to support them in a more personalized way.
The TAK-TAK-TAK system promotes educational tools to support, reinforce and deepen in basic learning of children, mainly in vulnerable situations in Mexico and any part of the world. Thus promoting the access to quality education.
